We now have a first release candidate for version 1.1 of the distribution.
The
installer has many new features like setting localtime, language, power management
and a better customized user environment.
The package manager was updated to FreeBSD 5.2.1
I am very pleased to introduce GNUstep,
including GNUMail, GWorkspace, Gorm and ProjectCenter. Many thanks to the
GNUstep development team who gave me a great help in putting up this release. T
here are still many issues with the Darwin platform but most of it is quite usable.
Many packages, including Gnome 2.6.1, were built using the
Darwinports in conjunction with my
portbsdpkg.tcl script
